Who is the Governor of Alabama?

The correct answer is determined by the current officeholder. As of now, Kay Ivey is serving as the Governor of Alabama, having assumed office in April 2017. She is a member of the Republican Party and is notable for being the first female governor in Alabama's history. Regarding the other choices, Robert J. Bentley was the governor prior to Kay Ivey and served from 2011 to 2017 before his resignation. Mike Hubbard holds no current position as governor; he is known for his prior role as the Speaker of the Alabama House of Representatives, but he resigned from that position and later faced legal issues. Young Boozer serves as the state treasurer, a position that is important but distinctly different from governorship. Understanding the context of current political offices is essential, and being aware of recent changes and individuals currently in leadership roles helps clarify the correct answer.
